Under that rock over there.
Hi there! I'm Westermeister, your friendly neighborhood Spriter-Man!
"Wait, then why is your user name spelled 'Westrmistr'?"
Well, you see, on the Nintendo Wii's Mii Channel, Mii's can only have ten characters in their names. I decided to keep the same spelling I used on my Mii here when I joined. So, just know I'm not "Westermister", I'm "Westermeister". As long as you know how to pronounce my user name correctly, I'll be happy.
I love Pokémon!
I like writing, and reading Fan-Fictions. I'm currently writing a story called "Pokémon: The Chase for a Hero".
I'm a Spriter--one that excels in scratching (making sprites freehanded).
And another of my favorite Pokémon is Charmander. I say this because it won't fit in the favorite Pokémon section down below.

Hello! I thought I should go ahead and showcase the Fakemon I've been working on, and possibly grab some comments on it. This sprite was scratched, and was made in the same art style as used in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions.
Hello! I was looking around for the official sprite for Mijumaru, the Water-type starter of Black and White Versions, but all I could find were low grade images with all of the colors altered, so the sprite did not fit the 16 color limit. So, I rebuilt the official sprite so it did have around 16 colors (it actually had less), but then I started making custom sprites of Mijumaru. Here's the sheet: (Edited: See my second post and sixth post for details.) The one starting from the far left is the original (Note: Mijumaru belongs to Nintendo and Game Freak, and this is only a recreation of the official sprite). Everyone else from left to right were put together by me. As you can see, most of them are simple re-poses, but the one to the far right is one I scratched (made free hand), using the other sprites as references for the size of the head, for Mijumaru's height, etcetera. I needed a reference especially for the tail, since it didn't look right any other way I did it. So, does anyone want to comment?
This thread is to discuss the key item "GB Sounds" in Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions.
Have you obtained the GB Sounds? Do you prefer to use it rather than listening to the default music? Do you want to convey your thoughts about the GB Sounds' function? Then this is the thread for you!
---
Just in case you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll explain. The key item "GB Sounds" is a GameBoy with headphones in it that allows you to listen to the original music from Gold, Silver, and Crystal Versions. Almost all of the music reverts back to what it sounded like, or would have sounded like, in the 2nd Generation. This also makes different music play on the radio on Sundays when it is switched on. Unfortunately, it does not change the other radio program's music, nor does it change four of the five Battle Frontier facilities' music. It does, however, change the outdoor theme of the Battle Frontier, and the inside one of the Pokéathlon Dome.
You obtain it by collecting all eight Kanto Region Gym Badges, and then talking to the Sound Designer on the third floor of the Game Freak Building in Celadon City.
---
I really liked how Nintendo included this into these games. The revamped versions of the soundtrack from Gold, Silver, and Crystal sound good and realistic, but listening to the nostalgic music from the originals brings to my mind joyful memories of my Crystal Version. I like to leave the GB Sounds switched on when I play, to help remind me of what's really important: to have fun, just like I did way back when on my Crystal Version.
So, would anyone else like to comment?
*This Project has been approved by freezer geezer, nya_chan, and Xanadu. All right, so, I bet you're kind of dazed and confused right now. Well, let me explain. I've been making Pokémon Trainer sprites themed as Kingdom Hearts characters. (Although, you could say the Heartless are Pokémon.) It started out with one simple sprite, and grew into a plan to sprite as many Kingdom Hearts characters I have ideas for. === Rules#1 - Please follow all of the Pokédox Forum rules. #2 - Absolutely NO stealing my sprites. If I happen to see 'em somewhere else I didn't post them, you're going to be in a heap of trouble. These are my sprites. #3 - Be respectful, don't be mean to or flame anyone. #4 - Comment as much as you want, I always love hearing from the viewers! #5 - No spamming. === What? You say you haven't played or heard of Kingdom Hearts? Well, I'll gladly explain some of that as well.
*The following descriptions for Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, and Kingdom Hearts 2 were taken from the Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days booklet. May contain spoilers. (Description for 358/2 Days by me.)
Kingdom Hearts On the night a storm strikes his island home, a boy named Sora is separated from his friends and whisked off to an unfamiliar place. There he meets Donald and Goofy, and learns that dark things are afoot in this world and many others. Together, they set off: Donald and Goofy to locate their missing King, and Sora to find his lost friends.
They succeed... but only briefly. To hold the darkness at bay, Sora is forced to shut a great door, leaving the King and his best friend on the other side. Nonetheless, Sora trusts in the King's parting words--that there will always be a door to the light--and locks the portal shut.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories Sora, Donald, and Goofy's quest takes them to a crossroads, where a mysterious man beckons them toward a fortress called Castle Oblivion. The longer they stay within its walls, the more their memories slip away.
As they climb higher and higher, a group only known as "the Organization" tests their minds and mettle. Sora finds himself thinking about a girl named Naminé--only because she has used her wondrous powers to rewrite his memory with her at the center. In the end, he, Donald, and Goofy choose to enter a deep sleep, so that she can undo her mistakes and set their memories straight.
All the while, Riku has been waging his own battle on the castle's underground floors. With the King's guidance, he learns to conquer the darkness within himself. After entrusting the sleeping Sora to Naminé, he sets off with the King.
Kingdom Hearts 2 Autumn inches closer in Twilight Town, and Roxas wants nothing more than for the last days of his summer vacation to be the best. Instead, the boy watches the world he knows unravel. Curious monsters called Nobodies appear, along with a man named Axel who keeps insisting Roxas remember things that never happened. By the time he understands the truth, there is no escaping it: his summer vacation must come to an end.
Rising to take Roxas's place is Sora. He, Donald, and Goofy wake from their slumber and prepare for the journey ahead. They must face Organization XIII, protect the Keyblade's power, and resume their search for the special ones they have lost.
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days Roxas, the thirteenth member of Organization XIII, lives his day-to-day life by going out on missions, and then topping the day off with some good, comedic chitchat with his best friend, Axel, over some ice cream. But Roxas feels there's something more to what's being presented to him by his superiors.
=== So now, without further ado, I present to you...my sprites! (May contain spoilers.) *Descriptions for characters are based on my own views and may not be 100% fact from the games. But descriptions for the Heartless are usually used from the games. The Heroes Sora, the Keyblade Master who saved the world of all worlds from darkness. He has a righteous heart and is usually laid-back in terms of his personality, but always rises to the challenge when he's confronted with an injustice. Chosen by the Keyblade, he set out on a journey to find his friends when his home was destroyed by the Heartless. And there's also a head shot of Sora like you'd see in Pokémon Platinum, HeartGold and SoulSilver Versions. Roxas, Sora's Nobody. He is sometimes a little nervous and insecure because, unfortunately, Roxas lacks the memories of his past life as Sora. When Sora was restored to his original self shortly after he lost his heart, he retained all the memories Roxas was supposed to have. But, in exchange for this, Roxas retained his emotions, unlike other Nobodies. So even still, he's exactly the same lovable, laid-back kind of guy with an infallible sense of justice he was before. Ironically, neither Sora nor Roxas is aware that the other is out there in the world somewhere. Kairi, one of the seven Princesses of Heart, and also one of Sora's best friends. She is a kindhearted girl, awaiting her friends Sora and Riku's return to their home in Destiny Islands. When Sora went to sleep in order to regain his lost memories, everyone connected to him forgot he ever existed, except Kairi still remembered things about him, however little the details were. She has strong feelings for Sora, and went to look for him once everyone regained their memory of the Keyblade-wielding hero. Naminé, Kairi's Nobody. Used by the traitor of Organization XIII, Marluxia, to rewrite memories and implant fake ones into Sora's mind in Castle Oblivion in a ploy to make him a servant of Marluxia to overthrow the Organization with. Naminé spends most of her time drawing and either implanting, tampering with, or even fixing the memories of Sora and those connected to him. Perhaps she does this to reclaim the memories she was denied when Kairi regained her heart, much like how Sora did. She seems to have a strong connection with Roxas. Riku, a wielder of both light and darkness, and Sora's best friend. When their islands were destroyed by the Heartless, Riku gave into the darkness and became its puppet, ultimately aiding Xehanort's Heartless' evil designs to consume all worlds in darkness. But, through his friend Sora, Riku was able to gain control of himself later on, but still, Xehanort's Heartless held onto him in hopes of making Riku his slave once more. It sadly got to the point wear Riku had to wear a blindfold to protect himself from the always-encroaching darkness that surrounded him, and to suppress Xehanort's Heartless, who had taken refuge deep within his heart. Organization XIII Axel, number VIII in Organization XIII. He has a fun-loving nature and fiery personality, and is Roxas's best friend. He finds how close Roxas and Sora act like each other to be interesting, even when Roxas has none of his memories prier to losing his heart. Axel usually likes hanging out on top of the clock tower in Twilight Town with Roxas and eating Sea-Salt ice cream with him. He uses two weapons known as chakrams, and can control fire. Axel has his very own catchphrase, too: "Got it memorized?" Demyx, number IX in the Organization. He has the power to control water through his massive sitar. Larxene, number XII in the Organization. She uses sharp knives as weapons and can shock her opponent into submission with her power over electricity. Roxas, number XIII in the Organization. He can wield both the Oblivion and Oathkeeper. (Oblivion is the black key to the left; the Oathkeeper is the white one to the right.) The Heartless Shadow, a Heartless that pops up in all kinds of places. The Shadow ambles around and attacks without warning. Soldier, a swift-moving Heartless that attacks its prey with a spin kick. Trick Ghost, it has two faces, both of which need to be fought differently. === And now, here are the credits:Westrmistr - The spriter who made all the sprites you see here. A friend - Who gave me the inspiration to do this. Square Enix and Disney - For the making of and the ownership of the Kingdom Hearts series. All characters are copyrighted and either belong to Disney or Square Enix. === All of these sprites were made by me, Westrmistr, and belong to me. Do not attempt to steal, nor claim as your own. Now, my basic plan is to keep updating this with new sprites as often as I can. But just remember, I do get busy, and that prevents me from spriting. I love comments, so don't hesitate to do so.
Alright, I've been messing around with sprites all day, and I stumbled upon a cool looking Christmas themed palette, along with a festive looking Snover. I was hoping to grab a few opinions on 'em, so here goes! This is what happens to a Snover that gets lost in a Christmas ornament factory. He even has a star on top of his head. = D This is the new palette I came up with. A simple, red, green, and white scheme... What? You say you see a Cubone holding a candy cane in the corner? That's because you DO see a Cubone holding a candy cane in the corner! I decided to throw that in for good effect.
